■Aerobic Corrosion: When dissolved oxygen meets iron, rust will be formed. This type of corrosion is common in pipes and carbon steel. In open-cycle systems, oxygen is almost saturated, so Aerobic Corrosion is unavoidable.
■Chloride Ions Corrosion: When there are chloride ions of high concentration in water, or the water is of high alkalinity, penetrating pitting corrosion and caustic embrittlement pitting corrosion will appear quickly in carbon steel. Chloric fungicides are often used in sterilization of water supply systems or circulating water systems, so the fungicides will be highly concentrated as the water circulates, and chloride ion concentration and total alkalinity will rise rapidly at the same time. Chloride ions of high concentration shorten service life of stainless steel. So chloride ions of high concentration and high alkalinity are the problems that cause high cost in water treatment. ■Under-deposit Corrosion: Under-deposit Corrosion is the most common manifestation of rust scale. Clear Water LotusTM keeps the scales in the system at a minimum level, so the scales won’t deposit to be scale piles. It can also suck 90% iron ions at dissociated state. Without scales and iron ions, Under-deposit Corrosion won’t exist any more.
■Electrochemical Corrosion: Water of high conductivity is caused by high concentration.
